This diminutive member of the extraordinary genus Renanthera has beautiful red-spotted flowers on a cream-yellow background. It is not commonly available. The plants are small seedlings in 2 inch pots. This species blooms in the Spring.
This spectacular flower up to 7 inches across is also known as Darwin's flower. He predicted that a moth would be found with a tongue long enough to reach the bottom of the 18 inch spur. The wonderful fragrance of this orchid is only produced at night.
